Who Operates This Site
BaitcastingReelz is an independent fishing gear review website. Reviews, roundups, and guides are published to help anglers choose reels, rods, and related tackle. The site is supported through affiliate advertising, when readers buy through product links, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader. What Data Is Collected
We collect a limited amount of information, and most of it is gathered automatically:
- Cookies and similar technologies. Like most websites, BaitcastingReelz uses cookies, small text files stored on your device, to remember basic preferences and to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may work less smoothly without them.
- Analytics data. We use analytics tools to measure aggregate, non-identifying information such as which pages are visited, how long readers stay, what device or browser is used, and roughly where traffic comes from (country or region level). This data is reviewed in aggregate form only and is never used to build personal profiles.

- Web hosting. Standard server logs (such as IP addresses and requested pages) are generated by our hosting provider in the normal course of operating any website.
We don’t control these third parties’ practices. Their policies apply to data they collect directly.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data; for example, the right to request access to it, ask for corrections, or ask for it to be deleted. Regulations such as the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California’s CCPA/CPRA grant such rights to their residents, and we honor valid requests regardless of where they come from.
Because this site collects very little personal data, most requests are straightforward: email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, describe what you’d like (access, correction, or deletion), and we’ll respond within 30 days. Note that some data, like anonymized aggregate analytics, can’t reasonably be tied to an individual and therefore can’t be retrieved or deleted on request.

Keep in mind that affiliate tracking cookies set by retailers after you click a product link are controlled by those retailers, adjusting your browser’s third-party cookie settings is the most direct way to limit them.

BaitcastingReelz is a general-audience fishing site, not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll delete it promptly.
Data Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect the limited data this site handles, for example, secure hosting and restricted administrative access. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending sensitive personal information through the contact form; a simple email describing your question is enough.

This policy may be updated as the site evolves, for example, if analytics tools or affiliate relationships change.
